HUDDERSFIELD MUSIC SOCIETY
2012/2013 Season

This site will be closing soon. Please visit and bookmark our new site at huddersfield-music-society.org.uk and buy your tickets online.

The Society was founded in 1918 and, except for a short break during the second world war, has promoted its classical music concerts continuously ever since. These are chamber music recitals of high quality, engaging mostly artists of international standing. Our season of seven concerts usually takes place between October and April.

Our audience consists largely of subscribers who have pre-purchased tickets for the entire season. A subscription form is contained in our brochure, obtainable from our secretary David Allsopp (tel 01484 688105, or email hudds_music_soc@yahoo.co.uk). Subscriptions are normally accepted prior to and (in person) at the first concert of the season.

For those unable to attend regularly, single tickets are available for most of our concerts from our treasurer Michael Lord (tel 01484 310104) and also from Huddersfield Information Centre, Albion Street, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire (tel 01484 223200) or at the door.

Concerts take place on Mondays at 7.30pm in St Paul's Hall, Huddersfield (see right). For a list of forthcoming concerts and ticket prices, please see our Programme page.

The Society presents all its concerts in the beautiful St Paul's Hall, a former church which was developed and refurbished by Huddersfield University as a concert hall. It presents an enviable acoustic for chamber recitals.
